A brand new series hit
Star World today. The sight of Barry Watson just
makes me go weak in the knees. ;p Catch it! On cables
Channel 18. :) Myself and Dear
have been coming up with all sorts of dates for our big day. Didn't
matter the fact that it will be in early 2010. No we're not kiasu Singaporeans
Couples. I just dislike doing things at the very last minute. Last minute
mocking for my GP papers were still acceptable. But not my wedding day,
please, for goodness sake NO. Dear, the laidback lad, knowing how he
is at times. He needs a little teeny weeny push to get his engines running.
And when it really goes running I have to make sure I am on track with
him. Heh. But this morning, I think I have put too much pressure on
Dear that out of a sudden he blurted out, "You pilih
aje date, I ikotkan aje." Egad! And when men say
such things, you know one thing for sure. Hmm. But I am pretty sure
my Dear meant well. With all his workload cum year end, I will try to
still and ALWAYS be the understanding fiancee I have always been thus
far. And this very soul who have helped me alot is none other than
Mak herself. Thank you for always being there for me. Alhamdulillah. :) We will eventually
find a solution and conclude to THE date for this special day of ours.
Right Dear? Insya`allah. Still in the topic
of dates. I have marked 6th December 2008 in my organiser with my brightest
pink highlighter, simply because a dear girlfriend will be getting engaged
to her cute beau! Don't mind my words but he is really cute lor! It's
in every human nature and it's rather not paranormal for anyone to NOT
admire beatiful things. Geddit? And why pink u may asked? Well this
dear friend is a pink freak. Or at least that's how I remember her as!
Eversince school days basically most of the stuff she inherits are or
were pink in color. And the fact that at times, she even nicknamed herself
pinklady is quite obvious right. Congratulations
again my Dear Nurliyana Rozali. Welcome to the W.T.B Club. :) Gosh I miss this girl. When will I see you again Nurraida Farhana? :( Hi
again! After a long disappearance. And Eid Mubarak to all Muslims all over
the world. Or so they say, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri
Maaf Zahir & Batin. ;) Sadly, I have not been having a great
one cause I have been doing morning shifts since 2 weeks before lebaran
and also till this very day. And guess what, perhaps maybe till the
end of Syawal I supposed. Especially with me frantically looking and
chasing and at often times begging my other morning shifters colleagues
to take, take, TAKE my afternoons. Of course, I do have offs and rest
days in between them crazy shifts lor. But then again, you tell me,
how can I ever go out visiting with families and friends when knowing
the fact that I will be starting work at 0430 the very next day. Hur
hur. It is rather a depressing thought when you are munching pineapple
tarts, which happens to be my favorite. And when else can you actually
get to eat them, other than Hari Raya. Chinese New Year, perhaps? And because some kind souls know that
I sadly did not have a great raya this year, yThey actually made my day by coming
over visiting, regardless the fact that I was not able to join them.
:) Thanks alot guys. And I know some of you were actually working the
day after. LOL! And, and not too long ago before Raya
was Brother's and S.I.L's birthday which falls on the 27th and 30th
September respectively. We somehow celebrated it a day later when well,
both of them are actually home. Yes, these shift works were on the works
again. Those who are doing shiftwork I so feel you. It was a day of surprises which ALMOST
did not take place. :( Simply because Brother was tired from work. But
we managed to drag him out of his room still. If not for his beloved
wife. He pretty much never listens to his siblings, no more. Maybe abit
less lah hor, let's give him a chance ok, a ray of hope. :) My plan was to get Swensens's ice-cream
cake for SIL ONLY. Not that I am being selfish lor but as a younger
sister for 24-years of my life to my elder brother, I can proudly say
Brother never likes us celebrating his birthday. So, the ultimate plan
was to get Aida, my younger sister to get any cake from Swensens Tampines
but due to some of her personal reasons she jollywell bought a PrimaDeli
one. Not that I strongly protest, because Rocky Hazelnut totally rocks
my day that night. Somehow that same evening, SIL came home with a box
of Secret Recipe's Bananna Nut Cake to celebrate her Husband's birthday.
Oh well, why not made a combined celebration. But of course, SIL was
never aware of the PrimaDeli surprise until the clock struck 1a.m when
Brother finally arrived home. So there! Surprise. Thanks to this Think.Care.Surprise course
I attended days before. LOL. Oh well, and you have guessed it. I
will be doing my 0630 shift tomorrow and for many days to come. *looks
at roster* Gulps! And my next off day will fall on Thursday! Bummer! And with that, till I update this humble
space of mine again... njoys! Watching one of
Massa's pitstop for fuel during the F1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix
yesterday was really heartbreaking I might say. What happened to Mr.
Ferrari himself was totally devastating and unexpected. Mak, Daddy and
myself was glued to our seats and watching in awe. My hands was basically
slapped across my gaping mouth! I feel for you Massa. :( And I am sure each and everyone of his
pit crew kicked themselves silly after the checked black and white flag
was frantically waved the moment Alonso zoomed passed the finishing
line. :) Nevertheless, I think the event was
err... a success? Horray?? Despite the bumpy tracks and all. I wasn't
there live, no I wasn't. Heh. But just by watching these cars speeding
through the rather, crammed circuit 'suffocates' me in a way. Hehe.
I may not be an F1 driver lah hor. But I experienced the same feeling
whenever I'm at the wheels driving through a two-way road. Hoho! I think,
the feeling is somehow the same? No?! And what do you know, today is the 29th
day of Ramadhan and Insya`allah, all the Muslims here in Singapore will
be celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri cum Wednesday, the 1st of October
which is also Childrens' Day! Oh how I remembered those 3-years of my
teaching experience. I will be so excited hunting around for the sweetest
sweets, chocolates, tidbits and stationeries and the fun part will be
chucking all them goodies into the most colourful goodie bag I can find.
And, and on my way to school, I will be beaming with joy in the bus,
carrying big paper bags full of surprises for my students. And the class
games prepared for them. Best I tell you! Anyhow, it's time I do some springcleaning
to my room. Mak was saying my room looks like a "tongkang pecah".
I personally thinks it looks like a "tongkang nak terbalik";
messy yes but still acceptable lor! Hoho! And, as usual whenever
I'm at home before raya, Mak will always count on me to 'renovate' the
living room. Well actually, if given a choice I'd rather not do anything.
So basically, I never ever had any choice, do I? Hmm. It didn't help
either that I'll be doing my morning shift on 1st October. So basically,
my mood is just too damp like the sponge on my kitchen sink! Lynny, stop whining and start cleaning
please. The race is tonight. And I heard he's taking pole position
too. All the best Massa! :) After much persuasion, I finally made
my way down to Geylang with Dear. Instead of him persuading me, it was
the other way round actually. Despite the fact that he only came back
from his night shift this morning. Well I did offered to cancel the
plan but he insisted since it's the last few days of Ramadhan and we
have yet to get any matching kurung outfits. Apparently, he's never
going to start his raya shopping until I pushed him. Maybe because he's
working on the 1st day of Syawal, which totally ripped off his semangat
to raya. :( But anyhow, I'm doing morning shift
too Darling. So cheer up ok Baby? :) So about this Geylang trip of mine.
My pure intention to get a new outfit for raya was rather much a disappointment.
This year, our family + a new addition to this family, Mak's & Daddy's
daughter-in-law, in other words, my Brother's wife or I shall say my
SIL(sister-in-law), decides to wear the colour, Gold. Where else can
I practically go, none other than the ever popular Tajong Katong Complex
itself. And no, I wasn't at First Lady please. I was doing my normal
shop-hopping, found an outfit, and was devastated, only to learn later
that the only available size left XL. Sad right? Yes very! But hey,
looking on the brighter side (i think!), I still have my gold heels
and gold handbag. So it ain't so bad lah hor? But heart still pain lor. :( First of all, my deepest deepest apologies
goes out to ALL my colleagues whom I've upset, disappoint for not being
able to join them yesterday in JB. I am so terribly sorry. Something
just came up. But I will try to make up if there happens to be another
gathering. I promise lor! And again, I'M SORRY. :( On a more happier note. A very very
best friend is coming back from Dubai tomorrow. A very very best friend
whom I missed too much. A very very best friend who has been there for
me in my worst case senarios and a very very best friend whom bitches
and ditches me at times, yet she adores me so. She is none other than
my best friend herself, Miss Aldilla Abu Bakar. My sidekick, my partner
in crime. :) Goodness, am so excited to see you after
many many months babe! I will TRY to give you a small tour around Singapore
in case you forgotten about the country you were born in. I will TRY
to give you a wee bit of information about Singapore, the country you've
been living in for 26 years until you chose to disappear from this tiny
space and made a grand entrance in Dubai last year. I will TRY, only
for my best friend. I'm gonna treasure this 1 week or so before this
best friend of mine flies off to Doha on the third day of hari raya.
And also, I WILL try to plan a birthday celebration while you're still
here, before you leave us again, totally ignoring the fact that your birthday
will only fall in the month of November. Who cares?! Only because you
are my very best friend. In other words, I would do anything
for this dear best friend of mine. Wow! This whole entry is all about
my best friend. :) Indeed, she's a best friend lor! Ahhh... Finally I have found time to
update this little space of mine. It has been weeks I know. Been so
busy with Brother's wedding last month. Too busy that I have hundreds
and hundreds over emails in my inbox and to date, I am still not done
reading each and everyone of them. Gee. I'm having A day off today and struggling
to do all the chores I have missed doing at home. My mountain-high laundry,
cluttered room etc. Mak & Daddy was asking earlier this morning
whether I would be interested to tag along with them to Geylang. Geylang,
during Ramadhan, is one of the places I would so much like to avoid.
I just hate crowds but then again, Geylang is the place you should be
this Ramadhan. Oh anyhow, I would patiently wait till Dear asks me.
Well actually, knowing him, the day will never actually come. Heh. Everyone's asking me how's my Hari Raya
preparation coming along? I haven't actually any outfit, tailored, purchased
at this moment of time. Obviously, I can forget about sending my lace
fabrics still nicely wrapped to the tailor, I am so running out of time.
But then again, I have always been buying my Raya outfits passed years.
Hmm. Thinking that I am only wearing it for a day or two due to my shift
work is utterly pathetic. I should ceased my bad, bad habits of spending
hundreds of dollars for an outfit which I barely used. I have like what
3 or 4 suits in my wardrobe this current of time which I only wore once
and Mak is already pestering me on what I will be wearing for this year's
Raya. Arrgh! I have always been looking forward to Hari Raya not until
I landed myself a job with the airline industry. :( The excitement is just no longer the
same. Anyway, we are all having iftar at Cousin's
place later. Well, I should be glad that I'm off from work today and
I get this very chance to be with my family and relatives. Alhamdulillah. A drive up to JB with my girls for a
massage, seafood and movies! Ooh... how fun! In less than a week my Brother will
be a husband to his primary school sweetheart. His sweetheart who
once studied in the same school as me and Cousin Wan. His sweetheart who was once my junior
in the school ECA, Brownies. And the same sweetheart, whom my Brother
lost contact many years ago and eventually found love 7 years back. To Syahida, my ex-schoolmate, my future
SIL, ... we're all counting Oh wow! Second entry for the evening.
Impressive indeed. Bro's still not back yet from his wedding
photoshoot. And the thought that Him posing for the camera is utterly...
funny? Sis and I kept talking about it all day. Bro posing for the camera?
Heh. Anyhow, hope he brings back something
to eat. Mak didn't cook today, and the reason why we were at Macdonalds
earlier on. I'm craving for Nasi Goreng Seafood,
extra spicy... Please. While the girls chomped their juicy,
oily lunch at Macdonalds, I diligently finished what I have started.
Not that I am complaining. But a come-back blog after years of living
in secrets barely slipped through my mind. Not until I stumbled upon
cousin's livejournal, doubling a quick peek into sis's blogspot and
Shelley's multiply, I just had to! Plus, the squeezing and crushing of
brain juices to come up with the most unique, out of this world layout
have always been a challenge. But sincerely, I do really miss blogging
altogether. 2008's been good to me so far, and I hope it will stay that
way or if better better luck comes rolling into your path, you wouldn't
actually 'kicked' it away would you? So come on! Give me a break would you?
Lynny's going to be good now. She promised to update regularly or when
time ALLOWS her to. Watch this space will you? Please? |
